The 20th edition of the Cous Cous Fest, the Festival of cultural integration, will take place from 15 to 24 September 2017.
Cous cous will be the star of the event: a poor traditional dish able to bring together, in this small village situated in the north-western part of Sicily, chefs from all over the world under the flag of integration and exchange. Tastings, gastronomic competitions, concerts, cooking lessons for adults and children, talk shows and exhibitions: an event not to be missed.
San Vito lo Capo
San Vito Lo Capo lies between the sandy bay of Cape San Vito and Punta Solanto. This ancient fishing village seduces its visitors with crystal clear waters which lap its wonderful coastline. The town, built around the Saracen tower, is characterised by white houses revealing their Arab imprint and overlooking the sea. San Vito Lo Capo features a wonderful landscape, as well as a white sandy beach with Caribbean colours. But also the countless coves and bays inside the Riserva Naturale Orientata dello Zingaro (Zingaro Nature Reserve) make this area a small corner of paradise. Visitors can enjoy many activities, such as trekking, diving, climbing, horse riding, to name but a few. Underwater itineraries, sheer cliff faces ideal for climbing, mountains and wild landscapes, a countryside rich in colours, sun and perfumes and breathtaking views ranging from the gulf of Cofano to San Vito and Castellammare. Even more, the numerous cultural and food and wine events, such as the Festival degli Aquiloni (International Kite Festival), the San Vito Jazz Festival, the Cous Cous Fest and the Climbing Festival: all these events have made it possible for San Vito Lo Capo to become, in recent years, a very coveted destination to spend both funny and relaxing holidays.
